Life Insurance in Garner, NC

Garner sits on the southeast side of Raleigh and straddles the line between Wake and Johnston Counties. That puts it squarely in the area I've served since I opened my business.

Garner has a mix I enjoy working with: long-established families, retirees planning for final expenses, and newer households in the neighborhoods along White Oak and Timber Drive. Needs range from a first term policy for a young couple to a final expense plan for a parent. Some people want a second look at a policy they've paid on for twenty years.

If you live on the Johnston County side, you may never have had a local agent. I'd like to be that person for you: someone you can call with a question years after the policy is in place.

How we meet

In person around Garner, or by phone and video

I'm in Garner often, so we can meet at your home or somewhere in town. Many clients prefer a video call after the kids are in bed; either works. The first conversation takes about fifteen minutes, and you don’t need to prepare anything.

Questions from Garner

Common questions

Do you serve Garner and Clayton?

Yes. Garner and Clayton are both part of my regular service area, along with the rest of Johnston County.

Is there an age limit for final expense insurance?

Most final expense carriers issue policies from around age 45 up to 85, with some variation. I'll check which carriers accept your age and health, and compare what each would charge.

How final expense insurance works
I've paid on the same policy for twenty years. Should I keep it?

It depends on the policy, but don't cancel it until we've looked at it together. An older policy was priced when you were younger, and a permanent policy may have built up cash value. A replacement means answering health questions again and paying a premium based on your age today. It also restarts the suicide exclusion and the two-year contestability period, when the insurer can review your application and may deny a claim for a misstatement. Surrendering a permanent policy can also mean surrender charges or tax on any gain. If it's a term policy near the end of its term, I'll show you what comes next.
